Evidence Based Care

Over the last 10 years, the practice of senior care has come to recognize the importance of well-designed housing as a foundation to the overall well-being of the senior population. Assisted living communities have evolved to meet the wants and needs of today’s seniors, many of them being more resident-focused. Typically, large assisted-living facilities are located in high traffic commercial areas, have low staff to resident ratios, and have a high turnover rate for staff.  Aria Senior Living  offers a personalized approach for your loved ones, focused on care, design, safety, and nutrition.

Care
We offer a sense of community based on personalized care through understanding and meeting the unique needs of every individual resident. Residents have their own private room and space but still experience a sense of community and social interaction. Research has shown that smaller facilities are less stressful for staff which creates an environment that focuses on caregivers building personal relationships with the residents and their families. Our caregivers are trained to address the full range of care needs of the residents they come to know so well.

About 75% of the residents at Aria Senior Living transferred from other facilities because they weren’t getting the proper care they needed. All of our residents have the same designated care provider. We have a Medical Director from Western Reserve Physicians.

We provide 24-hour care in our residences and each resident has a designated care provider. We have a Medical director from University Hospitals Western Reserve and a behavioral doctor from the Cleveland Clinic on staff. We also provide transportation to doctor’s visits for routine check-ups.

Design
Instead of a large commercial facility, Aria Senior Living residences offer an inviting space with a small group design focused on the layout of the floorplan offering 12-16 private rooms. All of our residences are located in residentially zoned-areas and designed to feel like a home, making it easier for residents to socialize and interact with one another.

Residences offer centrally located communal living areas within close proximity to residents’ bedrooms, an open kitchen, and outdoor spaces with enclosed courtyards. The smaller design offers many positive benefits such as less isolation, leading to less depression and anxiety, an increase in friendships, and less falls (due to less obstacles and close proximity to rooms).

Safety

Aria Senior Living is committed to promoting a culture of safety. This is completed through resident and staff education, induction cook tops, alarmed egresses, availability of specially designed surfaces, such as pressure relieving devices, that effectively prevent the development of pressure ulcers in high-risk patients, ongoing resident assessments, and we offer a number of programs and activities that stimulate the brain and keep the body moving such as  Tai Chi. Tai Chi is a safe and effective exercise used to improve physical function. It requires mind and body coordination with the goal to maintain and improve balance, flexibility, and strength. With its balance training, it helps seniors to avoid falling, relieve stress, and improve their overall health.

Nutrition

Proper Nutrition is important at any age but as people get older, they become deficient in vitamins and minerals that are essential to proper health. We offer a variety of menu options and encourage our residents to participate in menu planning and meal preparation, even if that means sitting in kitchen and engaging in conversation.

The health, safety and well-being of residents is the top priority of Aria Senior Living. If you would like additional information or would like to schedule a personalized tour, please
